Notes:

  • After starting at the rear of the field, McMurray scored his seventh career top-10 finish at Darlington
  • McMurray was able to overcome a commitment line penalty during pit stops on lap 259 to regain position on the lead lap and score his fifth top-10 of the season
  • The caution flag was shown six times for a total of 35 laps
  • The lead changed seven times among five drivers

McMurray quotes:

“After missing the commitment line on one of the green flag stops, we had to fight to get back on the lead lap, a couple of times. We had a really good McDonald’s Chevy tonight.  Both of our team cars were really fast tonight.  We had a great car we just couldn’t ever get the track position that we needed, but overall a good night after a tough weekend.”
