• McMurray won the 2004 XFINITY race at Darlington driving for team owner Rusty Wallace.
• McMurray has an average finishing spot of 13.3 at Darlington Raceway in the 13 races he’s started driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.
• McMurray won the pole for the Southern 500 in 2010, and has qualified in the top six, four times, including last year, when he qualified fifth.
• McMurray has led six different races at Darlington for a total of 163 laps.

“It has been pretty cool over the last few years to go to Darlington and see some of the throwback stuff that teams have done. We have the opportunity this year to showcase a McDonald’s design going back to the 50^th Anniversary of NASCAR in 1998. This year McDonald’s is celebrating 50 years of the Big Mac, so we will have that on the car with the overall throwback design from 1998. On the competition side of things this weekend, it is always fun to race at Darlington. This track is super challenging. The turns at both ends of the track are so different at the tires wear out so fast during a run, that it is really important to try and find the balance between being fast and saving your stuff through a long run.”
