Dover International Speedway: Post-Race
No. 1 GEARWRENCH Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Start: 20th
Finish: 18th
Standings: 21st

Notes:

  • Sunday’s starting positions were determined by owner points standings due to qualifying being canceled on Friday.
  • McMurray and the No. 1 team started 20th and were victims of many long green flag runs, that cost them track position during the first half of the race, that they could not fully recover from.
  • The caution flag was shown five times for a total of 31 laps. The lead changed 15 times among eight drivers.

McMurray quotes:

“We really battled with the handling on the GEARWRENCH Chevy early in the race. The long green-flag runs didn’t help us to make many adjustments under caution. The guys did a nice job of getting the car better, but we just never caught any breaks to get back on the lead lap and have a shot at making up any track position.”
