ALL-STAR post-race
No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Camaro ZL1
Started: 12th
Finished: 13th
Standings: *non-points event

NOTES:

  • The MENCS cars ran a different race package for the All-Star Race that included restrictor plates to reduce horsepower along with a taller spoiler and a different aero package on the front-end of the race cars.
  • McMurray was forced to start at the rear of the field after making an engine change following the morning practice session. The team discovered a valve-train issue with the primary engine.

QUOTES:

“I thought this package on the cars was interesting. I hope that it made for a good show for the fans. Trying to keep momentum up to make passes was key. It was all about being in the right line, having someone pushing you or just trying to get a run at the right time. We had a lot of action around us tonight and were able to avoid a couple of accidents that kept us in contention up to the final stage. We just lost momentum at the wrong time on a couple of occasions and couldn’t get to the front with the Bass Pro Shops Chevy.”

NEXT:

MENCS teams will return to Charlotte Motor Speedway next week for the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 27. FOX, PRN affiliates and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90 will have live coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
