Despite running in the top-10 for most of the afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, contact with another car, late in the race, forced Jamie McMurray to bring the No. 1 Cessna Chevrolet to pit road for an unscheduled stop. Restarting 19th with only 25 laps remaining, McMurray was able to get several positions back and salvage a 16th-place finish.  McMurray will head to Dover (Del.) International Raceway, the final race of Round-One in the NASCAR Playoffs, 11th in the championship point standings, and nine points ahead of the cutoff.

“We ran really well today,” said McMurray. “It’s just really hard to pass here. But our cars have been really good. Honestly, we’ve been like a sixth to 12th place car every week, and that’s what we ran again today. We weren’t able to finish as well as we ran earlier in the race, but it happens sometimes. We had a bad pit stop and that got us behind and then on the following restarts a couple of different guys got into me, which knocked-in the rear quarter panel and caused a tire rub, forcing us to make an extra stop late in the race. That forced us to the last car on the lead lap and it was just tough to pass anyone with only twenty-something laps to go.”
