- McMurray had two separate tire issues during the race that forced early green-flag pit stops, and ultimately caused the No. 1 team to go one lap down late in the race.
- The caution flag was shown five times for a total of 21 laps, the lead changed 16 times among seven drivers.

“I felt that our McDonald’s Camaro ZL1 was pretty good on the shorter runs, but on the longer runs the fall-off seemed to be significant and that hurt us on the longer green flag run. We also had a couple of tire issues that forced us down pit road just a little bit early on two occasions. Hopefully we can have a turn of luck next weekend heading to the first short-track race at Martinsville.”
