Standings: 22nd (30 points behind 16th)

  • Sunday’s race was postponed after 204 laps until due to rain in the area and resumed on Monday afternoon.
  • McMurray was involved in two separate wrecks on Sunday, and his No. 1 Chevy sustained significant damage in both incidents.
  • Monday was the first time in the last five races that McMurray has failed to finish on the lead lap at Bristol.
  • The caution flag was shown 13 times for a total of 114 laps, and the red flag shown three times for weather and debris.  The lead changed 18 times among eight drivers.

“What a crazy couple of days. We had to overcome a lot of stuff. Being involved in a couple of incidents yesterday before the race was postponed and having to make a lot of repairs on pit road. That, along with the weather and a really loose handling car, it was just a great job by our guys to bring home a 19th-place finish for the Cessna Chevy.”

MENCS teams will head to Richmond Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400 on Saturday, Apr. 21. FOX, MRN affiliates and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90 will have live coverage beginning at 6:30pm ET.
