No. 1 Arctic Cat Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Start: 5th
Finish: 20th
Standings: 22nd (65 points behind 16th; final playoff spot)

Notes:

  • Jamie McMurray had an up-and-down day at Pocono, after qualifying 10th, was moved to the fifth starting position once many cars were penalized for post-qualifying inspection.
  • McMurray and teammate Kyle Larson were both involved in a wreck, along with the No. 34 car, that brought out the final caution of the race.
  • The race ended in NASCAR overtime.
  • The caution flag was shown seven times for a total of 29 laps, and was red-flagged once; and the lead changed 13 times among 10 drivers.

McMurray quotes:

Not the finish we were hoping for today for the No. 1 Arctic Cat Chevrolet. The car was loose most of the race but I thought we were going to end up ok there at the end. With a few late race cautions the field got bunched back up; I am not really sure what happened on the last caution, but we had some on-track contact that forced us to pit again. We will regroup this week and look on to Watkins Glen.”
