ATLANTA Post-race
No. 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Started: 13th
Finished: 19th
Standings: 21st

NOTES:

  • McMurray and the No. 1 crew struggled with the handling of the car early in the race, and lost a lap to the leaders. The race saw many long green flag runs making it difficult for the No. 1 Chevy to get back into contention.
  • The caution flag was shown five times for a total of 28 laps and the lead changed 24 times among eight drivers.

QUOTES:

“Our first run was way off today. That got us a lap down from the very start and then it seemed like every time the caution came out, we had just got lapped again and it just wasn’t a very good day for us. I don’t think that our car was horrible, but the No. 4 (Kevin Harvick) was just so fast that he was getting guys a lap down pretty quick. The guys did a nice job trying to make the right adjustments, its just hard to play catch-up on those long green flag runs.”
