KANSAS post-race
No. 1 Cessna Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Started: 24th
Finished: 31st
Standings: 24th (71 points behind 16th)
NOTES:
- McMurray spent most of the evening running near the 15th position but gained several positions through some late cautions and was in position to score a better finish.
- A multi-car accident on lap 253 collected the No. 1 car and ended McMurray’s night prematurely, with only 14 laps to go.
- Today’s race was slowed by caution six times for a total of 31 laps, and red flagged once to clean up debris. The lead changed 13 times among seven drivers.
QUOTES:
“The guys did a nice job of trying to make adjustments to get the car better throughout the race. We got a break with a couple of cautions later in the race that allowed us to regain position on the lead lap and then another to pit with just a handful of laps to go and hopefully have a shot for a top-10 finish. Unfortunately, on that accident I just didn’t have anywhere to go. With all the smoke and debris, I couldn’t see a thing and it knocked us out of what could have been a decent finish.”
NEXT:
