Jamie McMurray exploded onto the NASCAR scene when, in 2002, he scored a win in his second-career Sprint Cup Series start while substituting for the injured Sterling Marlin. The former world karting champion worked his way up through the NASCAR Truck Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series before signing with Chip Ganassi Racing, where he ran his first full season of Sprint Cup Series action in 2003 en route to being named the series’ Rookie of the Year. He joined Roush-Fenway Racing in 2006 and established himself as one of the top drivers in the Ford Racing stable, scoring two of his biggest career Sprint Cup wins at the famous superspeedways of Daytona and Talladega. For 2010, Jamie returned to race for Ganassi at Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing and continued his winning ways in his first race at the Daytona 500.
